FarmGrant collects minimal information to provide our services:

• Email address — when you subscribe to receive free state-specific USDA data
• State — to deliver state-specific agricultural data and alerts

How We Use Your Information

• Deliver the FarmGrant weekly newsletter to your inbox
• Provide state-specific USDA grant, subsidy, and market data
• Verify your subscription status to provide seamless access across devices
• Improve our services based on aggregate usage patterns

What We Don't Do

• We do not sell your personal information to third parties
• We do not share your email, name, or subscriber information with advertisers
• We do not let advertising affect our USDA grant, subsidy, or market data
• We do not collect payment information — all content is free

Newsletter

Our newsletter is delivered via Amazon Simple Email Service (SES). You can unsubscribe at any time using the one-click link at the bottom of any email. When you unsubscribe, your status is immediately updated in our database and you will not receive further emails.

Cookies & Local Storage

FarmGrant uses minimal browser local storage to cache your subscription status for faster page loads.

We also use third-party services that may set cookies or similar technologies:

• Google Analytics — to understand aggregate, anonymized site usage so we can improve FarmGrant.
• Google AdSense and advertising partners — to display ads that keep FarmGrant free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to FarmGrant and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, learn more at Google's advertising policies, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings.

If you arrive from one of our USDA alert emails sent to registered farms, we set a first-party cookie (fg_ref) for up to 30 days. It holds a reference number, not your email address, that we can match to the address we emailed. We also record that visit, and the reference number with any signup you make, in our database. We use it only to measure whether an email led to a signup. You can delete the cookie in your browser settings. If you sign up with the button in one of those emails, no cookie is used: the button's link carries an encrypted code, and we record the same reference number with your signup.

Data Sources

Agricultural data displayed on FarmGrant comes from public US government sources including USDA, NASS, FSA, NRCS, Grants.gov, USASpending.gov, and the US Drought Monitor. We aggregate and present this data for informational purposes only.
